“Drift Away” is a 1998 Mainship 350/390 - Mainships are widely regarded as one of the most popular and economical boats for cruising America’s Great Loop. This Mainship’s dual engines and bow thruster facilitate seamless maneuvering in locks and when docking, while the spacious walkways and ample handholds contribute to enhanced safety. Semi-displacement fiberglass hull quipped with fuel-efficient Twin Diesel Yanmar 4LH-DTE engines, capable of producing 170 horsepower (3300 rpm) w/ 3,960 hours of service, “Drift Away” consumes approximately 2.5 gallons per hour around a 7 knot cruise.

“Drift Away” recently completed the Great Loop in February 2025, travelling 5,873 miles in 9 months.
Upgrades over the past 24+ months include: Webasto 16,000 BTU FCF Platinum Air conditioner w/reverse cycle heat, Raymarine 73 VHF radio w/AIS receiver, Raymarine Axiom 9RV chart plotter, two - 200 watt Rich solar panels, Renogy 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controller, 2000 watt Renogy Inverter, ProNautic 12•50p battery charger, SIONYX night vision, ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus electric dinghy motor, Bimini canvas, Flybridge cushions recovered, six 10" x 28" VEVOR Boat Fenders w/FastFender hangers, 3/4" Black double braided dock lines (six 30’ & one 50’), sliding glass door rollers, cutlass bearings, shaft seals, house and mains batteries, bottom job, fire extinguishers, and more.
Last services: Yanmar engines oil and filters changes and Northern Lights generator oil and filter change, primary and secondary fuel filters, and impellers changed. Port and Starboard valves adjusted. Port and Starboard ZF transmission fluid and filter changes.
Recently upgrades: Professionally compounded, waxed, and sealed hull; and bottom paint and running gear by Pettit certified installer.
The main salon is accessible through a spacious sliding glass door. The galley is situated on the port side and is equipped with corian countertops, stainless sink, Norcold refrigerator and freezer, and propane range. The master stateroom is located forward with a centerline queen bed, cedar-lined hanging lockers, storage drawers, shelving, and an overhead hatch for natural light. This cabin also includes an en-suite head and a separate shower, with a door for day-use access. A guest cabin with a queen bed is located behind the master bedroom.
