A juvenile giant lizard had shown up in the small, manmade pond behind my workplace. We want him gone, but the FWC says they won’t remove him until he’s over 4 feet long, and also, that they will destroy him and not simply relocate him. He’s maybe 2.5 - 3 feet long now.

It’s illegal to grab giant lizards and relocate them, so I’m not telling you to come and get this one. But you’re welcome to come and visit him and just see how cute he is. There are no cameras out there, and no one will complain if he follows you back to your vehicle and never returns. We just want him to be alive and happy.
