Selling my Epson Stylus Photo R2000. I am the original owner. Over the life of the printer, it has printed fewer than 100 pages, mostly borderless 13" x 19" color prints. The printer powers on and initializes without issue, but the nozzle check fails for some colors. I'm tired of dealing with it; moving to a dye-based printer for occasional printing.
Key Details:
Condition: Mechanicals and electronics are in good working order.
Ink History: Currently uses third-party pigment inks (ConeColor Pro) in InkOwl resettable cartridges. It has sat idle and needs a deep head cleaning or a specialized flush. If you don't print something every few days, the printer returns to this same condition.
Best For: Someone looking for a donor mainboard/chassis or a hobbyist looking for a Direct to Film conversion project. (If you are a glutton for punishment, you can clean the heads again and deal with having to print every few days to keep the ink flowing.)
Included: Printer, power cable, USB cable, full set of partially used ConeColor Pro ink (in bottles), and a set of spare InkOwl cartridges (in addition to the cartridges already in the printer).
Transaction Terms:
Price: $80 firm, Cash only
Meeting: Meet during daylight hours in the Melbourne Square Mall parking lot for the exchange.
No Shipping / No Codes: I will not ship this item. I will not "verify" via text codes.
No Mobile Phone / Personal Email correspondence: We will set up the specific time/place to meet using the Craigslist email system, and meet then/there. I don't want or need your cell number or personal email address, and you don't need mine.
Testing: You can bring a small UPS if you like, and test the printer to confirm it powers up when we meet.
If you are a local printer hobbyist or builder, this is a great donor machine. I listed the condition as 'salvage', but if you want to deal with the hassle, you can clean/flush the ink system and use it to print beautiful, borderless color prints in archival pigment ink. I am just done with the hassle of trying to keep the print heads clear.
