Ranger Tree Care is actively hiring a motivated and dependable Ground Crew / Groundsman to join our growing team immediately.
We are a veteran-owned tree care company serving Brevard County and surrounding areas, specializing in professional tree removals, pruning, storm mitigation, crane removals, and emergency response services. We are looking for individuals who are hardworking, safety-minded, and ready to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assist crew leaders and climbers with daily tree operations
* Operate chainsaws, chippers, blowers, ropes, and other tree equipment safely
* Maintain clean and organized jobsites
* Load and haul debris/materials
* Assist with rigging operations and traffic control
* Support crane removal and large tree removal operations
* Follow company safety standards and directions from crew leaders
* Work efficiently as part of a team in outdoor Florida conditions
Preferred Experience:
* Prior tree care industry experience strongly preferred
* Knowledge of tree care practices preferred
* Experience operating skid steers, stump grinders, excavator, mini loader preferred
* Chainsaw experience preferred
* Valid driver’s license preferred
* CDL is a plus but not required
Requirements:
* Reliable transportation to our shop in Melbourne, FL
* Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and weather conditions
* Ability to perform physically demanding labor and lift heavy materials
* Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Must work safely and professionally around crews, equipment, and customers
Schedule:
* Full-time
* Monday–Friday
* Occasional overtime and emergency storm work opportunities available
Compensation:
* Daily rate commensurate with experience
