Responsibilities
Manage inventory control processes using warehouse management systems and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock levels.
Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
Perform order picking and packing tasks with precision, utilizing tools like order pickers and OS400 systems for order fulfillment.
Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials with heavy lifting techniques and appropriate safety measures.
Conduct shipping and receiving activities, verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and mechanical knowledge requirements during all operations.
Assist with stocking, materials handling, packaging, and inventory audits to support warehouse distribution goals.
Qualifications
Prior experience in warehouse environments or distribution centers is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
Strong understanding of inventory management systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during stock picking & packing tasks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly in a fast-paced setting.
