Start time: No later than 6:00 AM – until route is completed (M-F schedule depending on route volume)
40 hours per week (OT possible based on route needs)
Contract dates: June 12, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Driver Helper works alongside a Route Driver to assist in the collection of residential and commercial waste and recycling materials. This is a physically demanding outdoor role requiring teamwork, safety awareness, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Assist driver with collection of waste and recycling materials
Load and empty containers into truck hopper (curbside, dockside, or carry-out service)
Operate lifting/hoisting mechanisms when required
Help guide driver during backing and maneuvering
Report unsafe conditions, service issues, or incidents to Route Manager/Dispatch
Support route completion and assist other drivers when needed
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
0–1 year of related experience required (entry-level welcome)
Ability to pass drug screen, physical, and background check
Ability to work in fast-paced outdoor environment
Must be able to lift 25–70 lbs frequently
Physical Work Conditions
Outdoor work in all weather conditions
Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
Exposure to noise, odors, and heavy equipment
Work in GPS/video monitored environment
PPE Required
Steel-toe 6-inch boots (mandatory)
Safety vest
Gloves
Jeans or long pants (no rips or tears)
