Schedule: 1st Shift – Start Time 5:10 AM
Must be available Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (rotating schedule)
Must be available Monday–Friday (no guaranteed daily schedule; 35–40 hours/week, no overtime)

Driver Helper works alongside a Route Driver to assist in the collection of residential waste and/or recyclable materials. This role requires physical labor, teamwork, and adherence to strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Route Driver with residential and commercial waste/recycling collection
Load and empty containers into truck manually or using mechanical lifting equipment
Operate hoisting devices to lift bins into truck hopper
Assist driver during backing and maneuvering operations
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or service issues immediately
Communicate service interruptions (blocked roads, heavy containers, hazards)
Follow assigned route schedule and assist other drivers when needed
Attend required safety meetings and training sessions
Follow WM Safety & Life Critical Rules and OSHA regulations
Requirements
0–1 year experience (entry level welcome)
Must be at least 18 years old
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Must pass drug screening, background check, and employment verification
Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
Must be able to lift 25–70 lbs repeatedly
Physical Work Environment
Outdoor work in all weather conditions
Exposure to noise, dirt, odors, and industrial environment
Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting
Work in GPS/video monitored vehicles
PPE Required
Steel-toe 6” lace-up boots
Safety glasses
Gloves
Jeans or work shorts
Breakaway safety vest (temporary supply may be provided if needed)
Additional Notes
No overtime expected; schedule may rotate to avoid OT
Standard 35–40 hours per week depending on route assignments
Weekly pay only (no daily pay accepted from any supplier)
