1997 custom-built rigid frame (hardtail) chopper. Clean title in hand. $5,000.
According to family history, this bike was built by Billy Lane of Choppers Inc.
NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING. Ran when parked, but ignition is currently non-functional and the compression release valve appears seized/rusted — has not been tested/started since. Selling as a mechanic special / as-is project. No warranty, no guarantees — buyer is responsible for diagnosing and getting it running.
What we know about the bike, pieced together from VIN, casting marks, and serial numbers on the bike itself (see disclaimer below):
Rigid/hardtail custom frame
Harley-Davidson Evolution-style air-cooled 45° V-twin engine
Aftermarket Delkron crankcases (Evolution Big Twin pattern)
Aftermarket cylinders, manufacturer unconfirmed
Transmission dated to 1997 (matches title)
Single carburetor with velocity stack air intake
Electric start
Manual push-button compression release valve on the head (currently appears seized)
Custom candy red paint with gold-flake swoosh graphic on the tank
Pushrod tube covers marked "Shumaker Racing"
