This Ventura V13DM from the late 60's and early 70's is a Solid Spruce Top, Back and Sides made in Japan and is an EXACT replica of a Guild D-25DM (Dark Mahogany) It came from the factory with Brass Nut, Saddle and Bridge Pins which makes a HUGE difference on any acoustic guitar for sound projection and sustain. The action is perfect and it's very easy to play.
There is a Guild D25DM on Reverb in rough shape for $1,600.00. The ONLY differene in my Ventura is the Pick Guard Shape Period.
Late 1960 and early 1970 models were produced by the renowned Matsumoku factory in Japan.
If you know anything about vintage acoustics made in Japan like this one over 50 years old, is they only get better sounding with age. I've sought out these Law Suit Era acoustics for 30 years and this one tops them all. Cortez, Guild Madeira's, Cort, Ventura Bruno etc...
I've owned acoustics with Brass Bridge Pins before (which make a big difference in the projection and sustain) but this is the 1st that came from the factory with Brass Pins, Saddle and Nut. A Bone Saddle doesn't even compare to a Brass Saddle.
A good example is strike a Bell made of bone then strike a Bell made of Brass and see the difference in sound. I'm 70yrs old and have owned over 80 acoustics in my day and many have been Law Suit Era guitars and this one is very special I can assure you.
