This is a basic 10 amp charger or 50 amp starter. For an auto, it won't start it on its own, but it could work to boost a weak battery. It is not a multistage charger which means it's simple and relatively reliable. This unit works fine and was used only sparingly, so it is in good condition. There is a 3 position switch to select between charge and start modes as well as a middle position to turn it off. Unit was stored in its original packaging for most of its life.
