Technology plays a critical role in our daily operations, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and maintain our IT infrastructure while supporting the continued development of our in-house business systems.

Position Overview
As our Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's Windows server infrastructure, virtualization environment, SQL databases, cybersecurity posture, and business-critical applications. You will serve as the primary technical resource for all infrastructure, systems administration, and internal application support.
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
• Manage and maintain the Windows Server environment.
• Administer virtualization infrastructure, including the primary hypervisor and replicated failover server.
• Maintain and support on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server 2019.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, user accounts, and security groups.
• Manage file servers, permissions, storage, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and infrastructure health.
• Coordinate hardware lifecycle management and vendor support.
Network & Security
• Support company networking infrastructure.
• Manage VPN and remote connectivity for field personnel.
• Perform Windows patch management and server updates.
• Maintain antivirus, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.
• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, licensing records, and operating procedures.
Database & Application Support
• Maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting internal business applications.
• Troubleshoot SQL performance and connectivity issues.
• Assist with maintaining and enhancing existing VB.NET applications.
• Develop SQL queries, reports, utilities, and automation where appropriate.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve development productivity where appropriate.
End User Support
• Support approximately 25 office users and 4 remote sales representatives.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, printers, email, and remote access issues.
• Provide excellent customer service while resolving technical issues efficiently.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of Windows Systems Administration experience.
• Strong experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, or comparable virtualization platforms.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange Server (Exchange 2019 preferred).
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking.
• Strong understanding of backup strategies, disaster recovery, and system resiliency.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while taking ownership of the company's IT infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
• VB.NET development and application maintenance.
• T-SQL programming.
• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Crystal Reports, or similar reporting platforms.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience supporting legacy line-of-business applications.
• Experience with virtualization replication and high availability.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or other AI-assisted software development tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and Microsoft security technologies.
