We are seeking a safe, reliable, and professional Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to join our growing fleet. The OTR Driver is responsible for transporting freight across long distances — often across state lines and nationwide — while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations. This role requires excellent time management, strong communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) over long-haul routes
• Pick up, transport, and deliver freight in accordance with assigned schedules and routing instructions
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT requirements and company policy
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) in compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
• Secure cargo properly using appropriate tie-downs, straps, and load-locking equipment
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or mechanical issues
• Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations
• Maintain a clean and orderly cab and report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly
• Complete all required paperwork including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and fuel receipts
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, shippers, and receivers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Minimum 1–2 years of verified OTR driving experience
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) — no major violations in the past 3 years
• Must meet DOT physical requirements and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA Hours of Service rules
• Proficiency with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
• Ability to load/unload freight and operate a hand truck or pallet jack when required
• Must be at least 21 years of age (required for interstate commerce)
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Capable of climbing in/out of cab and bending, stooping, and kneeling to inspect vehicle components
• Manual dexterity to operate vehicle controls, secure loads, and complete paperwork
